Today we went to Morrells Wood Farm. We went on a walk through the fields where we saw some cows. Farmer Derek talked about the cows and explained why they had yellow tags in their ear. We then went for a walk to hunt for oak leaves. We collected different shaped leaves and compared them to an oak leaf. This was part of our farming and countryside award. As we walked along the lanes and through fields Farmer Derek also talked about the countryside code and why it was important to look at whether gates were open or closed before we walked through them.
It was great walking through fields. We collected lots of objects including leaves, feathers and crab apples!
After lunch we sorted leaves into different sets with our friends.
