To day we went to Weston Park to learn about toys from the past. We had a very enjoyable day. Our first activity was to dress up as lords, ladies and very privileged children who may have lived at Weston Park over 100 years ago. Then we visited the nursery and saw toys from the past. They were made of different materials than our toys and some were clockwork toys which made a beautiful sound when a key was wound up. Later, we made a cup and ball and practised catching the ball in the cup! It was quite tricky. After visiting the big house we played with toys that children, in the past, would have used outdoors. We had a great day and learned a lot.
Can you name any toys or games children would have played 100 years ago?
