We learnt about different pork products today and made our own sausage rolls. We made shortcrust pastry first, then rolled it out, put sausage meat in the middle and folded it over to make the sausage roll.
To go towards our cooking award, today we made broad bean and pea hummus. We carefully chopped all the ingredients, then mixed them together. Before spreading onto fresh bread to eat.
We read a story ‘Where’s my Teddy?’ while at the farm today. Then we made teddy bear biscuits. Can you retell the story?
Today we have made coleslaw, to try new flavours. We added in beetroot and raisins to make it very healthy and add in even more taste. What would you add in to make it different?
To encourage everyone to try some of the tasty new foods on the menu, Class 7 have been making coleslaw and brought it for us to try out.
They added a different ingredient to their coleslaw, do you know what it was?
Today we made pancakes. We tried different toppings to work out our favourite, then made a tally chart to work out which was the overall favourite pancake topping in class 1. What is your favourite topping?
Today we made ‘Hidden Vegetable Pizza’.
We chopped up lots of our favourite vegetables and put them into the sauce and liquidised it so no body knows they’re in there.
Which vegetables would you put into your sauce?
Today we have been planting broad beans in seed trays then went into the green house to repot our garlic because it’s growing too big for the pots they are in.
We have also been making fruit salad, using instructions from our maths pictogram, to tell us how many pieces of fruit we need.
What fruit would you put in a fruit salad?
