Rhyming Words.

Today we are learning about Rhyming Words.

We have learnt to only change the first letter so that the words will rhyme.

We can now rhyme two words together and make a rhyming string.

Can you make a rhyming string, using the objects in the pictures?

Farming Friday.

Today we made ‘Hidden Vegetable Pizza’.

We chopped up lots of our favourite vegetables and put them into the sauce and liquidised it so no body knows they’re in there.

Which vegetables would you put into your sauce?

Kippers Toy Box.

Today we used our socks that we’ve all brought in, to create a ‘Sock Thing’, just like the one in Kippers Toy Box. We can use him to help us retell the story.

Have you brought a sock in, to make one?

Segmenting and Blending.

Today we painted pictures of Kippers and his toy box.

We then wrote a sentence about our picture by carefully segmenting and blending the words we wanted to use and wrote the graphemes that we needed, using alphabet strips to help us.

Green Screen Recording.

Today we practiced sequencing the story of Kippers Toy Box.

We recorded ourselves onto green screens so we can put pictures of the story behind us showing what happens at the beginning, middle and end of the story.

What happened at the beginning of the story?

Sequencing.

Today we learnt to sequence the story of Kipper.

We retold the story, remembering to say what happened in the Beginning, Middle, and then the End.

Labels.

Today we have been writing labels.

We used the MacBooks to write a label for the toy we chose. We used alphabet strips to help us and segmented and blended the word carefully.

We then printed out our labels to put in our toy shop.

Sharing Stories.

Zak, Charlotte, and Bay, decided to find a comfy spot and sit quietly together to read some stories.

They turned the pages, and looked after the books carefully while enjoying the stories.

Do you have a favourite story?

Coding.

Today we programmed the Bee-bots to travel over the grid, following the directions we had given it.

Green Screen Filming.

Today we did some green screen filming of the Christmas Story.

What parts of the story do you remember?
