Today we learnt to sequence the story of Kipper.

We retold the story, remembering to say what happened in the Beginning, Middle, and then the End.

3D Shapes.

Today we have been learning about 3D shapes.

We used different materials to make 3D shapes and remembered to use 3D shape names when we were talking about them.

We used iPads to record all the words we were using to describe our shapes.

Fruit and Vegetables.

Today we explored lots of different fruits and vegetables.

We cut them open to see if it had seeds or if it had roots, to tell us if it was a fruit or a vegetable.

Then we tasted them to see what we liked best.

Why do we need fruits and vegetables in our diet?

Today we have been writing labels.

We used the MacBooks to write a label for the toy we chose. We used alphabet strips to help us and segmented and blended the word carefully.

We then printed out our labels to put in our toy shop.

Today we all had our photos taken.

Well done class 1 for listening carefully to the instructions and waiting patiently.

Pumpkin Experiment.

Today we went into the greenhouse to check on the progress of our pumpkin experiment.

We are growing two sets of seeds, one small and one big. We are going to see which seed will grow the biggest pumpkin.

Which seed do you think will make the biggest pumpkin?

Our new learning is all about pictograms.

We did a survey on what was our favourite toy and then recorded the results onto our pictograms to show which was the favourite toy and which was the least favourite.

What was your favourite toy?

Well done to Isabella, Zoe, Imogen, Olivia, and Taya who have been challenging themselves with Mathletics and have achieved lots of certificates.

How many can you get?

3D Shapes.

Today we explored how to make a model of our favourite toys using the 3D shapes.

We then used iPads to record us speaking about what shapes we were using, remembering to use all of the new 3D shape words that we have learnt.

What 3D shape words have you learnt?

Skipping Practice.

Today we started to practice our skipping ready for our sponsored skip to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
